    Vancouver Conference Citation Guidelines

    Conference Information:

Include the full conference name, exact dates, and location (city, state/country). Use official conference proceedings when available.

    Author Guidelines:

List up to 6 authors. For institutional or group presentations, use the organization name as the author. For collaborative research, list the primary presenting author first.

    Abstract vs. Full Paper:

Clearly distinguish between abstracts and full conference papers. Include abstract numbers when available.

    Medical Conference Quality:

When selecting medical conference sources, prioritize:

    • Peer-reviewed conference proceedings
    • Major medical society meetings (AHA, ASCO, AAMC)
    • International medical conferences with CME accreditation
    • Conferences with published abstracts in medical databases
    • Specialty society meetings relevant to clinical practice

    Digital Access Information:

For online conferences or digital proceedings, include access dates and URLs. Ensure links are permanent or archived.

    Clinical Relevance:

When citing medical conferences, consider the clinical applicability and currency of the presented research. Favor recent conferences for rapidly evolving medical fields.
